着物を着た女性を表現することは、私が以前から取り組んでいる大きなテーマのひとつです。落ちてくる紅葉は現実の厳しさと儚さを表し、着物の柄である紅葉は空想の華やかさと虚しさを表しています。また、これらは日本の伝統的な美意識である「褻（ケ）」と「晴（ハレ）」を意味しています。

Exploring women in kimonos is one of my main themes I have been working on for quite some time.The falling red leaves express the harshness and fragility of reality, and the red leaves which is the pattern of the kimono express the glitter and emptiness of fantasy. Moreover, they mean Japanese traditional aesthetic of “ke” (ordinary days) and “hare” (special days).
